Biography

Olivia Davison (née Franks) is a Kanien'kehá:ka woman and proud member of the Wahta Mohawks. Raised in Wahta Mohawk Territory, she holds a Master of Science in Health Promotion from Queen's University. Olivia brings experience in Indigenous community-based research, training, and curriculum development, with a strong foundation in Indigenous research methodologies. 

As Indigenous Health Program Manager in the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion at SickKids, Olivia leads strategic efforts to advance Indigenous health across the hospital. Her work focuses on cultural safety education, amplifying culturally support and spaces, and the development of reciprocal partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations. 

She is currently exploring the role of simulation-based education as a tool to support SickKids staff and clinical teams in learning, reflection and culturally safe practice.
