Daniela Gattini Valdes

Dr. Daniela Gattini joined the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition as a Staff Physician in 2022. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Gattini graduated in medicine from the Catholic University of Chile and trained in paediatric gastroenterology in the Catholic University of Chile and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. She completed a Fellowship in Intestinal Failure and a Fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at SickKids.

Dr. Gattini is currently completing a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.

Research

Dr. Gattini's main clinical and research interest is within the fields of Intestinal Failure and Intestine and Liver Transplantation. Her current work focuses on the outcomes and health-related quality of life of children with intestinal failure and their caregivers. She is also working on the development of health utilities in paediatric intestinal failure and conducting relevant health economic evaluations in the field.
